Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an review of allegations of questionable actions directed at female individuals.

The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
