Mohamed Salah Offers Statement to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has revealed that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the team following the controversy from his public comments.

He was omitted from a key Champions League match subsequent to voicing frustrations and suggesting his relationship with manager had broken down.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”
The manager has chosen not to reveal on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.

The player stated that the team's response was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.
The midfielder also implied that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “I get that there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
On-Field Response
The team's performance have remained strong in the period after the situation. He feels the outburst were not designed to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, getting results and starting to win games.”
