Passionate followers of the pop star are urging that a man who jumped a barricade and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or deported from Singapore.
A viral footage shows the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by supporters.
Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the premiere by security officers.
Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.
This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last winter.
"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.
Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.
"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.
A number of attendees also faulted guards at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some requested online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.
In footage spreading on the internet, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.
Grande has remained silent on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.
Many of fans had congregated in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.
The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-part adaptation of the well-known stage production Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected friendship between two very different characters.
The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.
They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of the previous year in the UK, and received a dozen Oscar nominations, winning a pair for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
